Then what?
sculpture installation, steel, usd motor oil, sand, 35 x 200 x 200 cm, 2021

The installation consist of two interconnected objects. I was inspired by the hourglass evoking time and passing.
The aspect of time eluding is important to me in this case. The shape of the sandbox refers to a specific place where I've used to play in my childhood.
The combination of symbols is to indicate interminable passing of time. We should not try to control the transience of moments, no matter how precious the past is to us, the present time is the most important. As its the only one we are able to form. Childhood years and memories play essential role in shaping us as individuals, but it is a time over which we have no control.
